The Lockdown to battle Coronavirus pandemic issued on the 25th of March 2020 showed almost immediate consequences. Within weeks we saw cases of immigrants, daily wage labourers - the vulnerable part of society, stranded with no idea where their next meal would come from. I remember reading articles with pictures of people carrying pots, pans, blankets and their young children on their backs, fearing hunger would take them much before the Coronavirus ever could. I decided something had to be done immediately and that is how the idea of the World Help Group came about”
They were unequivocally joined by their employees who gave up 30% of their earnings in order to provide food to as many people as they could during this emotionally and economically difficult time. As they began acquiring and distributing food to the needful, they were met with a flurry of calls of those who wanted to join the cause from all across India.
