As the population increases the need to have more food for all to eat becomes imperative. There are those who sit in the office and with pen make million of dollars, but there are farm workers who toil day and night and make less dollar and cents, despite they are important link to how we get our food. Some have to leave their natural dwelling place to farm because their livelihood is threatened by terrorism, deforestation and erosion.
The Iyana Iba vegetable farmers are mostly farmers from the Boko Haram terror infested areas of Northeast Nigeria who are also fleeing from terrorism, mayhem and kidnapping. They occupy a vast linear area of land in the city of Lagos producing vegetables and other green for city people. Having seen their hard work they put in doing this and some constraints they face in growing vegetables I felt to do a community service by raising fund here to help them procure and put up some infrastructures that will help their farm activities.
They are hindered by not having enough organic fertiliser, irrigation equipment, pumping machines, sprinklers and sprayers, chemicals and a storage facilities for storing excess vegetable in time of bumper harvest.
I'm appealing to everybody to help us raise fund for these hardworking farmers to grow more quantity and quality vegetable and greens for city dwellers. They hardly get government support. Support them by donating $5 to this cause if all come together to give in we will be able to raise like $10,000 to buy these materials needed by these farmers.
Also we want to finish the year by doing a cause that benefit mankind and make a positive impact. Help us make a difference. You that give and us that receive to make this come true are all making a difference. $5 is not too much to ask from you all. You can donate by using PayPal, in the case you don't have you can use your debit, credit visa or MasterCard respectively. It's all shown on the website. All the money goes for the farmers and for their farm inputs not for me or my colleagues doing this.We are all contributing to make a huge positive impact in our communities and the world. Thank you!
