Hello!
I’m Aziza Abdieva, I’m from Kyrgyzstan. I studied in Turkey and graduated from Bilkent University this year. For my graduation project, I did a sculptural and photographic exhibition about masks. Two professors from Texas Tech University came to the exhibition and were impressed by the work and invited me to study at their university. I have been accepted for the MFA photography program and was granted a scholarship and Teaching Assistantship position.
The great news is that my TA stipend and scholarship will cover almost most of the estimated cost for the 2019-2020 academic year. To study at that university normally, I would need $29,940 for a year for tuition fees, housing, and other personal expenses. But because of my TA position and the scholarship, the University covers $24,763 of it.
And as for the rest, $5,177 is compulsory to pay half for the health insurance of $2,698. Other half $2,479 is for living expenses.
My parents are doing their best to support me and could collect money for my flight tickets and visa fee expenses. They are still trying their best to find more but I understand that it's a big burden for them.
Since I have a student visa the unlawful employment in the USA is a reason for terminating my student visa and deporting me from the USA. So, compensating the rest of the budget by working is kinda impossible.
Before going to the USA, I'm doing my best to do photoshoots to collect money to support myself. And now I have $500 as my savings. So, I ask you to support me and add to the remaining part $5000 that is around 27000 Turkish Lira.
I was hesitant and worried to start this fundraiser. Was kind of shy and a little pessimistic about this idea. But hey! I will never know if I don’t try, right? :)
I have huge dreams for the future and I see myself as an independent woman and artist. This degree will be a huge step for my future career plans. I can’t express how much I would be grateful if you contribute to my dream and studies what I’m passionate about. No matter its size, every contribution would mean a world to me. Please spread this call to as many people as possible.

Merhaba! Ben Aziza Abdieva, Kırgızistanlıyım. Türkiye’de okudumve bu yıl Bilkent Üniversitesi’nden mezun oldum. Mezuniyet projem için maskelerle ilgili heykelsel ve fotografik bir sergi yaptım. Sergiye Teksas Teknik Üniversitesi’nden iki profesör geldi ve bu çalışmadan etkilendiler ve beni üniversitelerinde okumaya davet ettiler. Burslu olarak MFA fotoğrafçılık programına kabul edildim ve Eğitim Asistanlığı görevinde çalışıcam. Asıl olay, TA harcamalarımın ve bursumun, 2019-2020 akademik yılı için tahmin edilen maliyetin neredeyse tamamını karşılayacağı. Normalde o üniversitede okumak için bir yıl boyunca okul ücreti, kalacak yer ve diğer kişisel harcamalar için 29.940 $ ’a ihtiyacım olacaktı. Ancak TA pozisyonum ve bursum nedeniyle Üniversitenin 24,763 $ ’ı kapsıyor. ABD’ye gitmeden önce gerekli parayı toparlamak için elimden geleni yapıyorum. Şuana dek biriktirdiğim 500 $ var. Bu yüzden, sizden beni desteklemenizi ve geri kalan kısmı olan 27000 TL civarındaki parada destekte bulunmanızı rica ediyorum. Bu bağış fonunu başlatmadan önce tereddütlü ve bağış toplanamazsa ne yaparım diye çok endişeliydim ama hey ! denemezsem asla bilemem değil mi ? :) Gelecek için büyük hayallerim var ! Kendimi bağımsız kadın bir sanatçı olarak görüyorum. Bu çalışma gelecekteki kariyer planlarım için büyük derecede bir adım olacak.
