HELP US FUND TO BUILD A FEEDING CENTER FOR CHILD HEADED HOUSEHOLDS AND PROVIDE FOOD IN BERGVILLE (KWAZULU-NATAL) Sanibonani : Molo ; Hallo ; Thobela; Dumela ; Lumela ; Abusheni : Sanibona : Avuwani ; Salibonani; and Hello friends.

We are in much need of your help in these trying times of Covid19 and poverty.

With the help of a family called Ndaba situated in Bergville they had managed to see our work around the community that we have been doing 2 years back and they blessed us with a small piece of land which was provided to help us help the community by building a feeding center for the community and especially with the high rise stats of 70% child headed household in Bergville Kwa-Zulu Natal (South Africa), the long term plan of the space which we were provided with beginning of last year , we had a vision to start a long term feeding scheme which will also combat employment and programs of stop alcohol abuse and teenage pregnancy as this is a high rate and also the rising numbers of HIV/AIDS in most child-headed homes. Now more then ever we need help as we are faced with challenges especially with the lockdown in South Africa which has forced us to not fully help the community as non-essential businesses had closed down that normally help us aswel and which has effected that many people lose jobs of which some child-headed homes at least 1/5 children who leave school to go find a job , to earn a minimum wage and help feed their siblings who go to school with plastic bags, no shoes or even no food and still live on poverty lines to get food on a day to day basis.Their living conditions are not well at all as many live from dung made houses with a minimum roof support and to no furniture at all. Most of the child headed homes are children between the ages of 10-21 years and with no choice when a father, mother, aunt , uncle and grandparents pass on. Out of the eldest child is suppose to fend , direct , feed and help the entire family which is the siblings that comes after them , To so many child-headed household this reality is hard ,overwhelming and without no help or support from anyone issues of teenage pregnancy , alcohol abuse and HIV/AIDS arise in these house holds and sadly this is a reality for most of our African countries.

We are highly in need of help with raising funds to build the feeding center successfully from buying building material such as bricks, windows, doors and cooking equipment, groceries and storage facilities. To also start a garden of hope by planting vegetables that will help carve the the poverty mark in child-headed homes and the community as a whole. We are are group of 2 ladies who have been passionate with helping others. There is a phrase we highly believe and live by in isiZulu is that "Sibusisiwe isandla esiphayo kunesamukelayo" meaning "Blessed is the hand that gives than that receives" and we will always thrive in stretching our arms in helping our community.

Please help us raise money that can go into helping the less fortunate to also build the feeding center as we are not able to reach out to everyone in the community but we believe that if the community knows that there is a feeding center available within their reach they can come in numbers for assistance. Will provide daily updates and so please do stay in touch.

We appreciate your continuous support and send wishes to all the front-line health workers. We will over come this hardship lets stay united and safe in these trying times.
