My friend, Lin has adopted almost 100+ stray cats since 3 years ago. I knew from the very start that these adopting would be expensive, and she needs to budget her expenses accordingly. She spends around MYR4000 in a month with high-quality cat food, vaccine shots, vet bills for sick stray cats and others … it all adds up. I'm the one who tracks down her expenses for cats and in 2017 ,she spent almost MYR60k for foods and I wasn’t expecting vet bills to exceed MYR10,000 in 12 months.

For now, her only plan was to apply for more credit cards and spend less money on going out. I also helped her to pay some expense such as house maintenance fee and cat foods due to one of her own house (a 3 room apartment) is being used as a shelter for 50+ cats.

She didn’t want to solicit donations to help with vet bills, because she believed that all the cats was her responsibility, but she also felt like she was drowning in debt and had just been turned down for a credit-line increase.

I would like to share this idea to fund raise for her kindness to take care of these poor cats and try to help her. However, she refused to my idea of giving these cats to others for adoption.
