Please help fund our local election challenge in Dublin South West. We are fighting to get six candidates elected as Councillors who will fight for public housing to be built on public land, against the cutbacks in Council services and for a socialist alternative.

Those Councillors, combined with building a mass movement like we did on water charges, can make a real difference. Because of the struggle people across the country waged together, and the lead given on non-payment by Solidarity (then AAA), we are saving hundreds of euros a year on water charges. Because of the struggle of all those fighting for abortion rights, including the role of Ruth Coppinger TD and ROSA in raising awareness of the abortion pill, we won Repeal and 12 weeks.

The point is - struggle makes a real difference and Solidarity representatives are there when it counts. We can win seats in these elections to make a difference, but for that we need funds to be able to compete with the big parties, who are supported by corporations and developers. We want to produce another leaflet to go into every house in Dublin South West, the printing of this will cost about €2,000. We are aiming to raise half of that with this fundraiser. Please give what you can.
