Fund raising for Rachel’s little Angel

Rachel has been a co-worker and friend for 4 years now, she is one that spreads positivity and happiness in the office. She is currently working as one of our Billing accountants, but have worked for Commissions and AP team as well.

Last year was a roller coaster ride for her; mid-year she tied the knot and started a family of her own, after a couple of months her mother passed away from cancer. Since she is naturally a strong woman, she was able to overcome all the challenges and moved on.
Early this year she and her husband received a very special gift, they were excited to know that there will be an additional member of their family. For almost nine months they took really good care of the little baby inside her womb, they religiously went for scheduled check-ups and took all the necessary supplements.

Apparently, just last October 22, Sunday (2-3 weeks earlier than her schedule) the doctor performed an emergency C-section as they seen some issues with the baby's health. The baby took in meconium (baby's first feces), which was weird because he was not yet due for that instance. Because of this there were some complications especially with the baby's lungs, which triggered irregularities on his heartbeat. For almost a week the baby fought for his life, there were instances that he was showing good signs and everybody thought he was on his way to recovery. But just this Saturday (October 28), the little man was tired and exhausted with all the medications, he lost heartbeat a couple of times, and in the end he no longer can hold on. It left his parents devastated and shattered to see the little boy they took care for months take his last breath. Now there is a little angel watching over Rachel and her husband.

With this, as her colleague, I am asking that we extend our moral support so that Rachel can move forward with this new challenge she is facing. Aside from the emotional support, she is also humbly asking for some financial help as the medical and funeral bills piled up and was beyond what she prepared for. Whatever amount that we extend will be greatly appreciated and will help our colleague with this tough and trying times.
