My brother at 49 y/o, has been undergoing dialysis treatment for the past two years. His doctor said that his kidney has stopped functioning and so this is something he needs to do for the few stage of his life. Or at least until his kidney starts working again. This means that the 3times a week dialysis sessions is something that we had to deal with on a regular basis. It is a maintenance that we need him to adhere to as like any other loved one, we want to do everything we can to prolong his life and make it as comfortable for him as possible. And while we were able to somehow manage the medical expenses required with the help of our families, friends and some government offices, we were not prepared for what had happened recently.

As my brother was unable to work for more than 2 years given his condition and no one is working for their family apart from the eldest who's a service crew from a fastfood chain, I am however, unable to help them now on his current hospitalization expenses.

My brother has been in the Coronary Care Unit since April 5, 2018 as his body went weak and at one time, he had to be revived as he had suddenly stopped breathing. We thought at the time that we've lost the battle as we felt our own hearts stopping with each chest pump the doctor was doing in trying to bring him back. It was simply heartbreaking. And something you wouldn't want to see right before your very eyes. His wife who was at the hospital with him when it all happened, is one of the bravest woman I have ever known as she stops at nothing, just to get all the help that she can to care for his ailing husband. But at that time, whatever bravery she has had simply left her as she had a nervous breakdown thinking it would be my uncle's last battle. With God's grace however, his body responded well to the CPR done at the time, his dialysis helped a lot to get back some color on his body and some other treatments necessary for him to avoid getting into a coma.

Unfortunately, as his heart is still weak, his breathing still machine dependent, he still needs to be cared for at the CCU. While we were extremely grateful for this wonderful development, we also worry a lot about the hospital bills as we solely rely on my salary as well as some financial help that we get grom time to time. As of today, our running bill is now at 265,000 and we need to pay at least 100,000 to at least cover the medicines and treatment he needs on a daily basis. There exists a hospital policy wherein if the unpaid amount is more than 100,000, the patients family will have to start paying for the medicines and other stuff as it will not be added on to the existing bill anymore. Everything will have to be paid in cash already. And unfortunately, cash is something we don't have.

I am, on behalf of my entire family, is humbly asking for your prayers and support in this ordeal that we are going thru. In line with this, we are also hoping that you find it in your heart to support us financially as we have nothing left apart from the monthly salary which my own family also depend upon. Asking for money from other people is not something that we have planned on doing but if your loved ones life is on the line, we will knock on everyone's heart if we have to. I will never stop fighting this battle with him. No matter what it takes.

Again, I am sincerely hoping for your support be it in prayers or financial assistance. I thank you as well for your time in reading this letter.
