It was November of 2019 when Macoi started his battle with liver disease, as a result of complication from diabetes. He has seen several doctors, and has taken a lot of blood tests and imaging tests to know what actually is causing his sudden onset of jaundice, which showed significantlyon both his eyes. Tests was done on his liver and gallbladder. A lot of scary impressions were made but thankfully nothing serious yet.

From november to january, he was already seeing several doctors and getting 2nd and even 3rd impressions they were saying that it was nothing serious and that he just needs to take his meds and have a healthy lifestyle.

One night early February, his stomach and lower limbs started to swell, and abdominal.bloating was very significant, so he was brought to the hospital, and soon enough his doctors said it was ascites due to his liver cirhosis. He has been in and out of the hospital since then and have beeb through different tests and procedures, from paracentesis to ultrasound guided pigtail insertion to address his massive ascites. During his last confinement, diagnosis was Acute Decompensated Liver Cirrhosis. After being home from his last confinement, he gradually developed hepatic encephalopathy due to the cirrhosis.

Each day we live is a fight for life in this challenging time. While Mark got a little better during his last hospitalization, He is now back in the hospital. His consciousness is severely altered due to the hepatic encephalopathy. Prognosis is bad as his cirrhosis is leading towards liver failure. The only cure might just be liver transplant, if he gets strong enough to go through with the procedure.

We now ask for your prayers so the Lord will continue to give him strength in this battle. His family also needs help financially. We deeply appreciate your prayers and financial help you can wholeheartedly give.

He has been a blessing to many and we would like to ask your help to let him continue be a blessing to others as we help him with his continuous hralth care needs, we are knocking on your hearts to please donate any amount to sustain his medical needs, as he fights for his life against this illness.

As of now Macoi is admitted to FEU in Fairview, his sight has returned. He can understand instructions, he can answer when talked to but not the normal conversation that we all now he can carry out. He has fluids drained from his abdomen on daily basis. He can't swallow. . . . .
