Fund Raising for a 7-year old Math Wizard

Abisha (incoming grade 3) is a 7-year old girl from Manila, studying at a public elementary school and the only Science Elementary School in Quezon City. She has shown high aptitude for Math and has won several local competitions when she was in grade 1 & 2. She is currently training to compete for the World Math Invitational Final Round in Fukuoka, Japan this July 2019.

We are raising fund for her Manila training costs and the costs related to the Fukuoka competition (plane fare to Japan, accommodation, meals, contest registration fee, and incidental expenses). We hope to raise the fund by July 15, 2019, just in time for the competition.

At a young age, Abisha has been devoting a big part of her time in training for Math competitions, to give honor and pride, not just to her family and school, but also to the country. Just like other kids her age, she wants to play more but she knows that as a Mathlete, she has to train in order to win, just like what sports athlete does, so she chose to sacrifice her playtime to give honor to her country and inspiration to other kids.

Abisha has done her part in giving her best at every competition she have competed with that is why she is now eligible to compete in the World Math Invitational Final Round. As her parent, I am also doing my part in raising fund for her, because I want to support her dream of becoming a world class Mathlete. I do not want her to think that not having enough money is a reason in giving up one's dream.

Your support for Abisha means supporting a small dream of a young girl with a small voice, who is working hard to give pride to her country and to inspire other people. Her being a Math wizard is not inborn. She reached this stage because of the training she had since she was 5. She wants to tell the world that Math skills or any skills can be developed & trained, and that one can give pride by doing her best.

Abisha wants to inspire other kids that they can be Math wizards too if they want; that they can have the skills they want if they will commit to train and have the discipline. Having the right attitude and knowing one's purpose can make any person excel in anything he wants to.

Pursuing one's dream is not as urgent as saving another person's life. You can donate for Abisha's fund raising after you have helped others who are more needy. Ours is just second priority.
