Fund needed for English class in Lolei, Cambodia.

Update posted by Shirin Yee On Sep 07, 2018

Mr Sovannarith is the founder of the Angkor Legacy Academy. He wants to help his local community to learn language skills and computer skills, especially for children, youth and adults in Lolei. He believes that by providing education to his local community and neighbours, they could have better chance and success in future. By such they could have a better job, helping with tourist, or further study. The children and youth in the community cannot afford to go to school. Their parent work very hard to earn money to support the family however the money is not enough to send them to school. Most of the children stay at home or playing with their neighbours friends.

So instead of playing and learn nothing, Mr Sovannarith provides them free classes, free books and stationery so that they could learn in the class. He teaches them English, Chinese and computer skills everyday. All the classes are conducted in his house and taught by volunteer from around the world.

Besides, he is also running food program for the poor family at Lolei neighbourhood. Giving out rice, sauces, cooking oil and etc to 51 families every month, cost him $2150 every month. The children coming to class everyday are also part of the food program.

The fund helps him to buy more stationery as well as food to help the community of Lolei. Your contribution is not going to be wasted. Your contribution is their future, their hope. I hope by creating this fund able to help Mr Sovannarith giving more education to his community, as well as expand to another community as well. Remember:

Your contribution is their future, their hopes!"
