Fund My First Book

Hi Everyone!

I am working on a multiple book project about heath and nutrition.  I currently study Clinical Research Administration so it is a topic that is very important to me.  I have put together a proposal and a draft of concept and have submitted these to literary agents and publishers.  I have gotten great reception of my book proposal and have some publishers interested.  However, the greatest feedback I received is that I need to first develop a wider marketing and sales platform.  Book deals are done much differently than they were done 5 years ago.  With the social media craze, publishers and agents expect that authors in certain genres already establish some type of following.  They want to see that an author is serious about promoting, works hard, and want to know that a market exsits. 

I am currently taking the steps to strenghten this aspect of my proposal.  However, developing a marketing and sales platform also requires that I have good photography.  I want to raise money so I can purchase a Sony A77 Digital SLR and Carl Zeiss 24-70 f/2.8 Zoom Lens.   

I have done my due diligence and have reached out to to obtain photographs with Creative Commons licenses and I have reached out to photographers to use their imagines.  However, it is difficult to obtain exactly what I need.
