Fund My Dream Degree in DATA SCIENCE!

Hello everyone! I am Bea and it's the first time I tried using this avenue - shooting for the stars too - to see if kind-hearted people can help me reach my goal and finally get the degree I have been wanting to get since 2016!

A graduate of BS Mathematics major in Actuarial Science, I decided to take up Masters in one of the most prestigious universities in the Philippines shortly after college (which was 2010). Eldest of two, I decided to stop taking my Masters Degree after one semester and instead help out with the expenses at home and tuition fee of my younger sister (13 years younger at that!) Years went by, several attempts to go back to Masters too, but I haven't really had the chance to do so given the stance that I need to step up and be the family's breadwinner, appropriate most - if not all - pay I get to help out my family, especially my sister.

Several years has passed and it still hasn't left my mind that if I would be given a chance to go back to school and pursue Masters Degree in my chosen field. Last 2016, I stumbled upon an article on Data Analytics and its applications to the field I was in (Insurance, then) and it blew me away. There really is a branch of study specifically catering to my qualms at work before (i.e. why not utilize data to create more targeted solutions, how to gauge effectiveness of marketing solutions through conversion etc.) and right there and then I knew - that if I had the chance to take this up again, I can't fathom how excited I will be to imbibe the nitty gritty of it, apply it to my chosen field of work, and just be a better version of myself because of it - while still helping out my family and getting my sister the degree she wanted as she prepares herself for College.

I have narrowed down the search for a good, online degree in Data Science from John Hopkins, Columbia University, Syracuse University, and Harvard University. Shooting for the stars as to how I will manage to get in, but I know - with my credentials and unwavering drive - I will.

This time, I want to do this for myself. But I can't do it on my own. If you will help me, you will definitely help me get the dream degree I have always wanted and utilize whatever I've learned from Uni and work to become the best Data Scientist I envision myself to be.
