Who Am I
Hello, everyone! I am YaLi Wang(Lily) from Inner Mongolia,China. I am an BME student, I enjoy studying science and I am keen to doing voluntary works. Currently I have been selected to attend the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) and my panel is Environment and Sustainability. It is a great opportunity for me to learn and discuss important internationalissues issues vital to Asia so I hope I can raise enough fund to be able to go to MA,United States to participate in this project.
What is HPAIR
The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) is a student-run organization of the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. HPAIR organizes Harvard University’s largest annual student conferences in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1991, we have continuously gathered a growing pool of international students from top universities, renowned academics, business professionals, and political leaders to engage in our rigorous educational events.
The programs intend to achieve three goals:
- Provide a dynamic forum of exchange on international issues vital to Asia
- Foster long-term relationships among young leaders from around the globe
- Connect talented delegates with some of today’s leaders in academia, business and government.
Why I would like to participate in this project
As a young generation of this age, I feel that our grand challenges like living environmentally and sustainability are not isolated concerns and together we should raise people's awareness of it and take more actions. Speaking of sustainability,I believe we are living in a world of abundance but the access to those infinite resources is limited. In the age the Fourth Industry Revolution, technology is the driving force that can lead us to a more sustainable world . If I get the chance of attending this project,I would like to discuss with all the delegates about my opinions about where the technology is leading us and how it will benefit us and future generation in a good way.
