Campaign Story
She is Maiden Taniog Pestin, a 42-year-old mother of six (6) minor children. She is my wife. Our youngest is a one-year-old baby boy. We used to run our own business in Manila before pandemic. We are suppliers of cassava cakes. Our business is doing well until we were victimized by Kapa Investment Scam. We lost all of our savings and properties. Aggravated by the pandemic, we were forced to close our business in Manila and decided to stay in Camarines Sur, Bicol and start a new life.
Eager to regain what was lost, we chose to start a small mobile business selling our very own cassava cakes using a tricyle. Before the end of 2022, Maiden consulted an oncologist because of a lump on her right breast. She was advised to undergo a biopsy. According to the doctor, she has to undergo surgery the earliest possible before it worsens. Because of our condition, having no funds for surgery, we decided to avail the services of Bicol Medical Center, a public hospital in Naga City.
She underwent biopsy last February 2, 2023 and results confirmed that Maiden has an invasive carcinoma although we are yet to confirm the result of her chest and upper abdomen CT Scan. Right after the biopsy procedure, she had fever and experienced excruciating pain on her breast. Right now, her condition seems to get more difficult considering that we are out of fund to finance her medical expenses as well as our personal needs.
Attached below are photos of her breast lump together with the biopsy result.
To all of you reading this, I am humbly asking for help for us to survive this battle. Whatever amount you may wish to donate is a big help for our family especially my wife. We will forever be grateful for that. Our kids are still young and we want to fight for her life. May God bless us all.
