Dear Family and Friends,
This year, to celebrate my birthday in June, I would like to invite you to donate for a cause that is close to my heart. My friend Jay Ailani runs Beloved Hearts, affiliated with Young With A Mission (YWAM) ministry that rescue and restore child and woman trafficking victims in Southeast Asia. Below are some explanations of what they do, and I hope that it will move your heart to give generously. Thank you for reading and thank you for my birthday gifts :)
Beloved Hearts is affiliated with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) ministry bringing revelation of true identity, holistic restoration and healing to victims of the sex trafficking industry through the light of the Gospel.
Their non-profit activities are focused in Southeast Asia and are branched into three main arms: Ministry, Training and Awareness.
Beloved Hearts fights human trafficking from prevention, intervention, and finally restoration.
Prevention: Working closely with education centres in refugee camps to break the cycle of sex trafficking where it first begins amongst children at risk.
Intervention: Reaching out to sex workers in red light districts by telling stories of hope to transform their mindsets.
Restoration: Offers art therapy and inner healing ministry to recently rescued, former sex workers. Beloved Hearts nurture them in safe homes where they are socially equipped to return to society outside the sex industry, and emotionally and spiritually restored to their true identity as beloved daughters of God.
Beloved Hearts provides training in counselling, inner healing and art therapy to missionaries and social workers.
Bringing our mission to the frontlines of public attention through targeted events, art exhibitions, auctions and workshops. Funds raised from these events sustain our Ministry and Training Arms, and they are vital avenues to raise awareness and build bridges of partnership amongst other artists, patrons, galleries, activists and churches.
