BACKGROUND
When it comes to an athlete of any sports code, it is mostly professional coaching that takes that athlete to new lengths by tapping into their potential. However, private/professional coaching normally comes at a hefty price, a price that only few households can afford. It is often the case where a family will enquire about such services but then walk the other way when they realize of the financial burden it can be.
As a coach who is a founder of a professional coaching service it breaks my heart to see a child of enormous talent having to put brakes on their development due to famalies needing to pull the plug due to financial difficulties. There have been many times where I would be very close to waving fees one way to give the child the opportunity of achieving greatness. Unfortunately as a business with expenses it is very difficult to do that.
OUR PLAN
1. We are wanting to select a minimum of 5 disadvantaged swimmers showing true potential to have access to private coaching. We hope that this fund can pay for these swimmers so that they can get to another level in their talents.
2. We are wanting to teach a minimum of 5 children how to swim from the very beginning, gifting them with an essential life skill.
TOTAL swimmers needing funding = Min 10 over 6 months
TOTAL COSTS per swimmer/month = R380
TOTAL COSTS per swimmer/6 months = R2280
