My name is Michael O'Hare and I'm a 12 year old film-maker. I believe there is a lack of young peoples contribution to film-making. This is due to lack of access to film-making opportunities and equipment. If given the opportunity I would highlight in the form of film issues that relate to young people and would encourage contributions from young people who wish to become involved in film-making themselves.
I have appeared in a few short films including:
"It's Time to Tell" - A Spirit Aid film directed by David Hayman
"Potter's Field" - A promotional video for a book by established author Chris Dolan
But I really want to get behind the camera. I have many ideas for films I want to make but don't want to build on one until I know I have the right equipment to make it.
I plan to buy a good DSLR and a microphone but I don't have nearly enough money to buy one, so I'm asking you to help me with that. I know £500 is a lot of money but if 500 people just donated £1 that would be this fundraiser over. Please help a young film-maker achieve his true potential.
