Hello online community,
My name is Mark, I am a young adult and a Canadian citizen. Like many out there I have been faced with the challenge of finding what it is I am passionate about in life. Upon finishing high school I had gone to study Business Administration with a focus on management, where I had learned many valuable skills but had not found inspiration.
However, in my 2nd year of studies I had begun to follow my curiosity for certain things and education myself on the topics I had come across. These were all heavily intertwined with physics and other fields of science. This was when I realized that Physics made me hungry for information and understanding; and most importantly excited to apply my knowledge to real world situations or simply seeing things with new perspective.
Since coming to this realization I had first broadly studied the subject and its applications. To no surprise I found the world of Physics to be everywhere. This had further fueled my obsession and about a year after I had begun to explore the subject I realized that this was something that I could truly be passionate about, am able to understand and would be happy working with and studying.
As a result I had enrolled in an online self-study program beginning with grade 11 math, chemistry and physics. I have since completed my mathematics with a grade of 92% and am about to finish the other two with equally promising grades. Next I will be completing the grade 12 material so that I may enroll into my program of choice. (I had never completed these courses previously because I had yet to find my passion at the time).
**I would like to enroll in the Energy Systems Engineering program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (with a high focus on green technology). The money I am trying to raise will be put towards paying for the tuition, books and travel. I had already exhausted all my funds completing the business program and therefore I am reaching out to you (the readers).
If I do not succeed I will not give up, but rather I will postpone my dreams because I am certain of my obsession with Physics. However, if I do succeed in raising this money I would use it to accomplish my dream... and who knows perhaps I will be the next person to invent something to better our lives :D
