I am Jeanny Burce, an MA student at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am presenting my research paper entitled "Labeling Violence: Schools and educators as moral entrepreneurs." to the Asian Conference on Education (ACE 2019) to Tokyo, Japan. I need some funding to present my paper to the conference. The conference will happen from the 31st of October to the 3rd of November. The total amount needed includes airfare, accommodation expense, travel expenses, visa, fieldwork expenses, and food.

This research topic is truly important to me because education management is beyond what numbers and figures tell us. Seeing education from the micro and the macro perspective affecting each agent interdependently is essential in seeing a clearer picture of our education system. Likewise, the research project conceptualized by Jeanny Burce uses a unique ethnographic experience of what is in the ground. As an educator by heart and by profession, she used her personal experience from the ground and utilized tools to examine the human experience in an intimate yet elaborated level.

As the researcher’s experience and understanding of the education system expands, the greater minds like hers need to amplified. With the demand for broadened global perspectives on education and the growing numbers of conferences organized internationally harmonized the need for educators and academics alike to come together and share knowledge and perspectives substantial for a better education management across the globe.
