Campaign Story
Hello Everyone!
I recently I began a worldwide campaign for one of my outstanding and brilliant scholars, Esther Mukunzi to receive a scholarship at an international school. After personally writing over 20 International schools the outcome was more than I could have ever expected. And it all happened so quickly! Esther is currently in S2 (8th grade) at my school, White Dove Global Prep and is a Hidden Gems Academic Scholarship recipient. She is an extraordinary student academically and in character.
She has been officially accepted and offered a full four year academic scholarship to TASIS America International School in London.
We have to do is get her to London and prepare her for this huge international shift in her life! Esther applied for and received her first passport in June 2019. We are now in the process of applying for her visa which also incurs a health benefits cost . Next we will purchase airlines tickets and Esther and I will take the journey to London in mid August. It will be Esther's first flight ever and her first time outside of Rwanda.
Any amount will bring us closer to our goal of raising $4000 to cover the cost of the visa, healthcare benefits cost and airfare. If extra funds are raised it will assist in preparing her for the climate change and purchasing suitable clothes.
While we offer a high standard education at White Dove Global Prep; due to Esther's academic achievements from P1 (1st grade) - S2 (8th grade) in which she maintained grades of 90% or higher in all subjects areas combined with her economically challenged background it is my desire as her Principal to set her on a path in which more opportunities will be open to post secondary. She is truly an extraordinary girl scholar. We will miss her but definitely want her to accept this life enhancing education opportunity. We are most grateful for any financial assistance that is given. Esther's journey to London will be well documented on all of the White Dove Global Prep social media sites.

Esther's VIsa Application has been submitted! Next up flights!

Her visa will be ready in less than 15 days. Esther will take flight in August for her biggest life transition yet! As a part of her academic program at
Esther's Visa fee. visa appointment fee & Health Surcharge fee are all paid in full!

This sounds like such an exciting opportunity! I know it’s not much but I’m currently not working. I taught in title 1 schools for the last 10 years and know first hand what opportunities like this one can do to change the course of a child’s life. It did for mine :) Good luck, Esther!
