Fulfill my dream- reducing child sexual abuse

Hi everyone and thank you for your attention !

My name is Trang, a Vietnamese Master student in Portugal.

My idea/dream came up when I got my first internship in 2016 after my Bachelor graduation. During my internship, I was able to participate in an event / workshop about child sexual abuse. During that event, I witnessed the horrific images of this problem and it haunts me until now. Most of those images are uploaded on the Darknet by anonymous online accounts.

Through the images, I noticed that the contexts are mostly in Asian countries. There have been things that happened 10-15 years ago but until now, no one has found the culprit to post these photos, and those children still suffer from bad things till now.

Furthermore, In my country- Vietnam, I also have been witnessing the same problem but most of children are not brave enough to stand for themselves. Even myself, I was scared and dared not say it...

Therefore, personally, after witnessing these horribles things, I decided I had to do something to make a reduction on this evil and make it be recognized by more people. I decided to go for Master program in Communication studies, first to improve my knowledge and then find a way to develop a long term project ( My final project ) to help children and parents realize, be aware of this and know what to do to prevent or protect themselves. Additionally, I orient myself to work in international organizations - or non-governmental organizations for further development of this project in the future.

This June 2019, I will start an internship with the UN in South Korea for 3 months, one step closer to my dream. However It is an UNPAID internship and the living cost in Korea is quite expensive for me, it is even higher than Lisbon-where I am living now. I would be so thankful for your donation as a grant to my internship and project for our children in 2019-2020.
