Fulfill a lifelong dream

I am trying to graduated from college but I hit snag by owning my former university $4000 and they are holding my college credits hostage until I paid them. I ran into financial trouble and lost my job last year. My name is Freddie McCoy and I am 24 credits away of obtaining my bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. I was a correction officer for nearly twenty years and I went back to school six year ago. I realize that in order to move up the ladder in my field, you must have a college degree.

With my extensive experience, you can go very far. I want become a strong open -minded warden that can change the system in United States. The current system that we have right now is not working and prison is becoming an revolving door for criminals. I want to bring new and fresh ideas to make the prison better for the inmates, officers, and the public. As my experience as a correction officer, I observed a negative environment for inmates and officers. Our current prison system do not rehabilited the inmates to become model citizens, role model, or support their families.

We need college programs in human behavior, social work and certain job skills for the inmates to survive in the world once they are release from prison. Inmates become frustrated when they tried to seek employment while on parole, doors is usually close in their face and they go back to old bad habits which lands them back in prison for long time. Correction officers need to be better educated in human behavior to understand their environment and to be firm but fair to inmates. 

I need my dreams to come true but I am having a hard time in this current economic time and had to move back in with my parents. I want support my kids and I know once I get my college degree, doors will open up for me and I will be on my way to help out our society in our crime-ridden society plus become a great role model to every young child or young adult to become a great citizen.
