I'm an IT professional who's been working in Dubai since 2008 and my wife, Reggie, also works here in retail since 2005. Both of our work have been severely affected by the ongoing pandemic which effectively making us lose our jobs. We are now forced to go back to the Philippines to start a new life there because getting a new job in Dubai now that's worth it is practically impossible. However, whatever little money we've saved has now been depleted over the last 3 months because we haven't been getting salaries and we couldn't fly home immediately because of the various flight restrictions our host and home country have put in place.
So now that able to go back home as commercial flights are slowly getting available, we plan on starting a farm over our small piece of land. My initial target is to start up a mushroom farm (will eat up about 1/3 of the funding request). The remaining 2/3 of the fund will be used to grow vegetables like bitter gourd in the beginning. My initial target is to plant about 700 plants.
We are hoping to touch on the kind souls out there who can empathize with what we've gone through and be kind enough to fund us for our new beginning.
Stay safe everyone!
Hector and Reggie
We have 2 kids that we still have to support through school amidst all these. The youngest is an incoming grade 5 while her brother will be an incoming college freshman
