On the 28th of March 2013, I came home from my current duty station to eat dinner with my family. While we were eating dinner, our family Siberian Husky puppy (Frisco) suddenly went into a seizure. I immediately took him to a local veterinarian clinic, upon which his arrival was greeted by another seizure. The doctor at the clinic started testing and put him on seizure watch all night. He continued to have more seizures over the course of the night and ended up being kept alive on an IV Drip of anti seizure/anti spasm medications.
He was slowly weened off of these medications over the weekend, and finally come Sunday evening he was healthy and ready to be picked up. We as a family are thrilled to have our beloved puppy back, however the medical bill that came along with it was steep. $750 owed for the services rendered.
Our family was already in a strain with our budget (recently having our car vandalized, paying large payments monthly for my wife and I to finish a certificate degree, etc) and then this was thrown on top of us as well. Basically, we are looking at being unable to stay in a positive balance due to having to pay for this bill.
We started this page so that we may hopefully at least lift some of the strain from our current situation to help pay off this bill. I am not trying to say we are going to end up homeless without help, however utilites may become an issue to maintain.
Thank you for any support you would care to offer.
