Friends for Mirko!

Our friend Mirko Miklečić needs help.

Mirko was injured in a car accident in 1987 and after the accident he was paralyzed. He has undergone four spinal surgeries since his accident. After those operations, he spent a long time in a rehabilitation in Varaždinske Toplice. Mirko was the second case who managed to walk with crutches with such injuries. Unfortunately, the accident did not end. Mirko had four toes on his left foot and one toe on his right foot removed due to gangrene on his feet.
Despite all the problems, he still decided to live life to the fullest with a smile on his face, but he was stopped by a heart attack. The first was followed by the second. In April this year, he suffered his third heart attack. Luckily, he successfully recovered.
Mirko is moving with the help of a wheelchair from which he fell and broke his femur in September this year, and his wheelchair was destroyed. After the accident, he ended up in surgery and had an artificial hip implanted. When he returned home, his femur ruptured and he was operated on again. A week after the second operation, Mirko was released home, but his femur broke again. Mirko was returned to the hospital to the astonishment of doctors and nurses who have not experienced a similar situation so far. After detailed examinations, Mirko's bone was found to be so porous that he could not withstand the implanted prosthesis and he underwent a third operation in a month.
Mirko needs help raising funds for the new wheelchairs because the old ones have been destroyed. He also needs an electric motor accessory on the wheelchair, because due to his weak heart, it is increasingly difficult to move by himself in the wheelchair. The Health Insurance Institute does not cover the costs of new wheelchairs and electric motor allowance. Mirko receives a pension of 2,800 HRK and he and his family of three do not have enough funds to buy a new wheelchair and electric motor accessory, so we ask you for help.
We invite all the people who can and who want to join us to help in our action. Let’s give the best possible life to our friend so he can still live life to the fullest, spread positive energy and make us happy with his stories. Mirko is an eternal positivist and a great fighter who now needs our help to live a normal life in spite of difficult diagnoses.

Naš prijatelj Mirko Miklečić treba pomoć.

Mirko je 1987. stradao u prometnoj nesreći te je ostao paraliziran. Od svoje nesreće prošao je četiri operacije kralježnice. Nakon operacije dugo vremena proveo je na rehabilitaciji u Varaždinskim Toplicama. Mirko je bio drugi slučaj koji je uz takve ozljede uspio prohodati uz pomoć štaka. Nažalost, tu nesreći nije kraj. Mirku su zbog gangrene na stopalima odstranjena četiri prsta lijeve noge i jedan prst na desnoj nozi.

Unatoč svim problemima, i dalje je s osmjehom na licu odlučio živjeti punim plućima, no tu ga je zaustavio srčani udar. Nakon prvog, uslijedio je i drugi. U travnju ove godine doživio je i treći srčani udar od kojeg se uspješno oporavio.

Mirko se kreće uz pomoć invalidskih kolica iz kojih je u rujnu ove godine pao i slomio bedrenu kost a kolica su mu uništena. Nakon nesreće završio je na operaciji te mu je ugrađen umjetni kuk. Po povratku kući, puca mu bedrena kost te je ponovno operiran. Tjedan dana nakon druge operacije Mirko je otpušten kući, no ponovno mu puca bedrena kost. Mirko je vraćen u bolnicu na čuđenje doktora i medicinskih sestara koji do sada nisu doživjeli sličnu situaciju. Nakon detaljnih pretraga, utvrđeno je da je Mirkova kost toliko porozna da ne može podnijeti ugrađenu protezu te je podvrgnut trećoj operaciji u mjesec dana.

Mirku treba pomoć pri prikupljanju sredstava za nova kolica jer su stara uništena. Potreban mu je i elektromotorni dodatak na kolicima jer se zbog slabog srca sve teže sam kreće u kolicima. Zavod za zdravstveno osiguranje ne pokriva troškove novih kolica i elektromotornog dodatka. Mirko prima mirovinu od 2800 kuna te on i njegova tročlana obitelj nemaju dovoljno sredstava za kupnju novih kolica i elektromotornog dodatka i zato vas molimo za pomoć.
