friends children centre

I was a headmaster of a private primary school for ten years.but one thing that disturbed me was that whenever children were sent home for fees;some NEVER came back.So my friend and I decided to visit some of their homes to find out why.We found out that almost all of them were not living with their biological parents.Their parents were either dead or they were divorced and the children were living with relatives who could not afford to pay anything for them.

I therefore decided to bring the children together under FRIENDS CHILDREN CENTRE. This name suggests that anybody who assists in any manner shall be a FRIEND to the children because all the children need to get education.This centre is located in LIKONI behind CONSOLATA PRIMARY SCHOOL-MOMBASA- KENYA

At the centre we have 100 needy children, 2 caretakers and 5 teachers.To keep the children in the centre for the remaining part of the year will need the following:

• fees =$300/child/year
  
• stationery/learning materials=$100/child/year
  
• food/ lunch = $300/child/year
  
• clothing =$100/child/year

total = $800/child/year*100 children =$80000

• cook and caretaker = $1680/per year
• 5 teachers =$1200

total annual salary = $13680
