Campaign Story
GOAL: $28,000.
My name is Friday and I am a 5 year old basset hound. The Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California helped me relocate by finding me an awesome roommate named Cynthia. We live in a great house with some other friends and an albatross named Stu (I think his full name is Student Loan, silly name if you ask me). I've never actually met Stu, but I can't say that I like him. He takes up a lot of Cynthia's time and energy which in turn interferes with my quality of life. I don't understand why she keeps him around because she doesn't seem to like him much either. From what I have heard it would take about $28,000 to get rid of Stu completely; Cynthia doesn't seem to be making much progress despite the fact that she has been trying for over 10 years, she has contributed $15,000 to his interest already! What kind of interest does this bird have??!! My interest certainly doesn't cost that much; chasing squirrels or a day out with friends followed by a nap on the couch, low cost things.
So, not being one to sit still for too long, I plan to get a job to help. Actually, I'm going to volunteer, since I'm a dog they won't pay me. All I need to do is visit people in hospitals and care homes once a week and I'll be working towards improving their lives. Naturally, the presence of a basset hound makes everything better.
If someone donates $10.45 for every hour (minimum wage in BC) I volunteer I can help get rid of Stu so Cynthia can use her money to buy me treats instead. And maybe she'll take me on a long road trip too, I do love car rides.
It is time for Student Loan, that big fat albatross to go. Donations much appreciated. Stay tuned for updates.
