Fresh Start

Hello, my name is Kai, I am 23 years old, and I am hoping to raise funds so I can get on track with my life. I will tell you a bit about me, and the reasons that got me to where I am now.

I had a tough time in elementary school, as I have a hereditary skin condition and kids can be nasty. Like so many others, I was bullied thruought my childhood and teens, and it left its mark on me. My self-image was shattered, and I begun experiencing depression and panic attacks, which still persist to this very day. I do not want to sound too morbid, but I believe it is necessary for me to tell you that I have been struggling with suicidal thoughts since I was 12 years old. For a long time I was unable to form any kind of relationships with people.

Probably the darkest times for me were my early adult years. This was the time when normal people my age were getting jobs and starting careers, I was merely existing. I would apply for support money where I could, but it would be impossible to pay for everything with just that, so I started getting in debt. I felt powerless in my depression, every day felt like torture. This is how my life went on for several years.

Then something good happened. I met the sister of a childhood friend, and we started hanging out. She has been supporting me for some time now, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like I can do something about my life. I know the road to recovery is not going to be easy, but the first step in getting my life back would be to get financial stability, before I fall deeper into the circle of debt.
