Frenklin Park Turtle Shelter

We are a little group of turtle-loving people who are passionate about saving them. We built a shelter and we adopt the unwanted pet turtles, red and yellow eared sliders mostly. Also we admitted other animals: a few tortoises, iguanas, agamas, tortoises, a couple of cute bunnies, and a flock of guinea pigs.
As to the sliders, the girls and the boys live in separate ponds to prevent babies. You know, they are considered invasive species in Europe. Owners often bring here their pets if they can no more take care of them. We keep their story and later the ex-owner can come back to check how the turtle is doing.

The shelter is located in Héhalom, Hungary. We plan to grow bigger in the near future. We became officially an NGO. :)
