Give my dad the freedom to travel again.
Hi, my dad was diagnosed with Necrotising Fasciitis in March 2017 - a condition where a flesh eating bacteria took his right leg within a day.
There, he was in critical condition for a long time and as a result, his kidneys failed. He also battled through more than 12 surgeries/amputation procedures to recover from this ordeal.
He was discharged from NUH after 247 days. Now adapting to his new life with a missing leg and going for dialysis 3 times a week.
*face not shown to protect his identity*
Having dialysis 3 times a week
& being wheelchair bound,
makes it extremely difficult to go overseas for a holiday.
In fact, he has given up on the dreams to travel.
I would still like to make his dreams come true - to go on a family vacation to Japan.
However, I had a hard time trying to find affordable accommodations that come with disability-proofed toilets.
This will discourage him from travelling completely.
GO-ANYWHERE COMMODE 'N SHOWER CHAIR
Many forums have been recommending me this travelling commode from Go! Mobility Solutions .
Portable - Able to disassemble, packed into suitcase and bring up to flights.
Accessible - convenient for accomodations and places without disability-proofed toilets
Dual function - Able to function as a shower chair and a toilet seat.
Help us with the cost of this commode,
Give him the FREEDOM TO TRAVEL.
Tell my dad that it's not the end of travelling for him...
He does not have to be stuck in Singapore forever because of his condition...
Buying this commode will grant him freedom,
not just for one vacation but for many more to come.
^price breakdown ( & shocking shipping fee by FedEx as their only option)
Sadly, the cost of this commode is beyond what we can afford... My family is not rich and I'm using my savings from work for our dreamed family holiday.
We would appreciate any amount of donation to this cause. Even $1 would mean so much...
As the saying goes,
"Many Raindrops Make an Ocean. "
If you're unable to, we completely understand. You can still help us by sharing this campaign with your family, friends and social media. Thank you...
**Any funds beyond the targeted amount will go to funding the cost of my dad's holiday dialysis in Japan, rental of wheelchairs, hiring of taxi for disability and extra flight charges for hadicapped.
Thank you for helping my father regain confidence in travelling.
