Hey everyone!

So I am super stoked to be participating in the Freedom Swim this year, it starts in Robben Island and ends at Big Bay. I have been dreaming of doing this for awhile now, and have been training. The ultimate goal is to swim from Africa to Europe.

This feat has turned out to be quite expensive for my student self, so I started this page. I invite you to please donate to my cause, your donations will be going to my ticket for the swim, my rent for the swimming wetsuit as well as rent for a boat that every swimmer needs following them for snacks, support and sips of energy drinks.

All extra proceeds will be going to a cause very close to my heart, the 9 Miles project. It is a registered non-profit organization that was founded in Cape Town in 2013. The project works with youth in coastal informal settlements and aims to provide mentorship and support to the at-risk youth in the areas of Cape Town, Elands Bay, and St Francis Bay in the form of education literacy classes, learning adventures, life skills, leadership training and sports (namely surfing). They are really changing the course of many lives of youth in these impoverished areas. And I dream of one day following in their footsteps with similar organizations across SA and the world, that not only help people but also helps give them tools to help themselves. Feel free to check them out here: https://9milesproject.org/
