A man appeals his murder and arson convictions and sentences on the ground that after the jury had been deliberating, the trial court replaced a juror with an alternate juror who had been excused from duty and sent home before deliberations began. In a unanimous decision written by Judge Richard B. Teitelman, the Supreme Court of Missouri reverses the judgment and remands (sends back) the case.

Michael E. Amick NOW NEEDS YOUR HELP! He has been held since June 16, 2015, the day he was transferred from the DOC to the Oregon County Missouri Jail. He is continually confined to a cell 24/day, 7/days a week and is never sure whether the jail employees will allow him his 30 minutes/week of visitation, a time he cherishes with his family and young children. HE IS BEING HELD HOSTAGE FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT.

The 37th Judicial District in Oregon County, Missouri has a long history of abuse, fraud, and weapons & drug running within their department and with "citizens" in their inner circle...Michael's case is no exception to these atrocities.

We are working against the system but we will prevail and justice will be served to those who are the true criminals. MICHAEL HAS BEEN A VICTIM FOR TOO LONG!

Please join our efforts to raise money toward retaining a lawyer that shows unwavering support of Michael and can prove his innocence as we have known all along.

THANK YOU!
