I've heard people say, what's happened to music? The music industry is systematically shutting out creativity, originality, genuine soul, and music itself. For without a label or private funds, it can be really difficult to record or tour-even with talent-so many great musicians go unheard.
This album is a fusion of folk, blues, and beats. It's a reflection on the places I've been and the people I've met over the last few years. There's a lot that's undefinable about it. The best way to get a sense is to listen and read the lyrics, which are one of the most important parts of my songs. (danielleaustinmusic.com)
About me, I live in a rural area, somewhat devoid of human life, but I have cultivated profound respect and love for nature. I study herbs and plants in between writing songs. I studied music at Amherst (one of my favorite places in the world). My music is a reflection of a love for nature's art, God being the greatest artist, as well as a life experience. The music combines indie, folk, hip hop, soul, blues, R & B, rock, and poetry. (danielleaustinmusic.com offers more music and thoughts)
Here’s some of the costs you’ll be helping with:
The Tiny Tour (select East Coast cities + Montreal)
$300 transportation costs (gas etc.), $400 hotel fees & board, $200 food and drink ($800+, to pay for any additional musicians that are needed to join the tour)
Free the Butterfly EP Album (5 song album with hired studio musicians)
$700 studio recording costs, $500 studio musician drummer, $250 CD printing and CD production
Album release show and After Party to thank my backers of course! (food, alcoholic beverages, decorations, CDs, etc.) $250
