In light of the recent move bring down the age of criminal liability, the future for the less fortunate children in Manila becomes dimmer. I believe proper education is the best way to bring these children back to the right path. However, living condition in the depressed communities in Manila is so poor that many families just have enough to bring food to the table, sometimes even less. This makes education a very small priority in their lives. Thus I believe with this initiative, more families will give importance to sending their children to school which in turn will give them a shot at a safer and brighter future.
