Free Computer Training for rural poor people in Nepal

1. NAME OF THE PROGRAM

Computer Training for the rural area of Nepal.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

a. To start the “Computer Science” course in the rural areas according to the syllabuses of the boards.

b. To make the technical and modern technology based education and training easier for the students, poor people of rural area, especially for the girls.

c. To promote the technological awareness in the common people of the rural areas in our country.

d. To start an educational institution in the name of organization in which the poor children of the society can get basic computer education.

e. To provide children a quality computer education/knowledge and guidance under the supervision of experienced and qualified hired teachers.

f. To provide the children an environment they would feel easy in learning and feels no hesitation and hindrance.

g. To provide them not only basic computer education but also introduce them other courses like MS office, Adobe Photoshop, Coral Draw, and other normally used software’s education.

h. To conduct activities other than course education to develop their interest in learning.

i. To arrange tests of children to know the learning standard and ability of understanding to increase their knowledge.

j. To give small gifts in tests in order to increase their interest and yearn to compete more.

3. PROJECT GOAL

To bring a knowledge of computer among rural area's children who still don’t know even the meaning of computer, to infuse the knowledge of Information technology among children, make them enable to interact with computer and familiarize them with its uses in life.

4. DURATION OF THE PROGRAM

This program will be started from May, 2024 and will be finished for the first session at the end of December, 2027.

5. MODE OF ACTIVITIES

a. Project will establish a computer center in rural area of Nepal to meet up the teachers’ training activities.

b. Project will arrange a “six months’ training course” for the selected instructors.

c. Project will select 2 (two) part of Nepal to start this course.

d. It will provide instructors for the institute as their own staffs.

e. To meet up its cost, Project will offer short training programs for the outsiders in various training courses of computer software at the same time with the program of the schools. Project will use the premises & instructors for that training program without any cost.

f. Extra incentives will be provided for the instructors by Project according to the income from the courses for the outsiders.

g. Students of the schools will get exemption of any type of fees, but the outsiders will have to pay for the courses.

h. The instructors will get their salary according to the rules and regulations of the Government of Nepal.

6. TARGET GROUP

a. The students (Children) of schools and colleges in the rural areas.

b. The High and mid ranged educated youths, especially the educated women in the rural areas.

c. The employees/workers of GOs and NGOs working in the rural area.

d. The distressed women and disabled persons in the rural area.

7. THE MAIN CAUSES OF TAKING THE PROJECT TO THE RURAL AREAS OF THE COUNTRY ARE:

Our educational system will also be a dynamic section of providing proper education to the students, based on practical works. The research works of we will change the educational system from theoretical to pragmatism.

We also expect that the rural youths will be able to engage in the socio-economic development process by acquiring knowledge and by direct guidance of us. The women will also be able to participate in the socio-economic development process. For the project, the small businesses like data-entry and composing firms, computer training institutes, electronics and electrical assembling and repairing firms, handicrafts production and business firms, leather products (like shoes, bags, parse, etc.) making firms, etc. will get a tremendous speed and the most of the active and educated youths will be engaged in this process.

This project may also be considered as valuable because of its importance in the field of producing the direct output. The table below shows the direct output of us in a year basis. About 200 (three hundred) participants will be able to get training and technical assistance from us in a year.

8. EXPECTED RESULT/OUTCOME

The project in planned or arranged keeping in view the poor children who cannot afford the good quality education, so everything is decided to give at least basic computer knowledge/education to poor and street children. We want to training for 600 students or people on 3 years program duration.

a. The project is expecting to see a number of children able to interact with computers.

b. Number of poor children having skill of different computer courses.

c. Better civilized and educated society.

d. Educated children prosperous nation.

e. Better job or business opportunities.

f. Ease in further higher education.

g. Confidence emergence in children.

h. Decision making ability in students.

i. Better knowledge of WEB and Information Technology

j. Ability to use social sites and interaction with the world.

9. TOTAL BUDGET

The total budget is US$ 100,000.00 which is the sum of the 'required equipment', 'structure for staff' and 'other budget' (respectively US$ 15557; US$ 57060 and US$ 27383) for the 600 students.
