As is the case around the world, the government of Kenya has implemented sweeping recommendations and of course bans in the face of the Corona Virus Covid-19 pandemic. This disruption will be especially difficult for the majority of the population of Kenya who live on less than a dollar a day and have no reserves for tomorrow. Supermarkets across the country have seen a recent spike in panic buying. Empty shelves are now commonplace. Those who can afford it have been stocking up. But what about those who can’t?

The lack of running water, access to nutritious food and dilapidated housing conditions in poor communities makes "advice such as handwashing, maintaining good nutrition, and self-quarantine matters of privilege, At face value, closing the schools seems like a good idea as these closures may slightly reduce the spread of the virus, however, it doesn’t take into account possible risks and health consequences in a country like Kenya where millions of children receive their only meal in schools.

This campaign seeks to raise funds to be used for free delivery services of donations to the most vulnerable families in our society using online apps such as safe Boda or Uber Boda, (This will ease the traceability of every rider and every home)

Make no mistake, things will get much worse before they start to get better.
