Freddie’s road to healing and recovery

Hello everyone.

I am writing to request financial support on behalf of my father, Freddie Lopez, who is currently burdened with a stage 4 liver cirrhosis and various health complications. Our family is struggling to cover the costs of his medication, surgery, and existing hospital bills.

As a result of his condition, my father experiences ascites and requires weekly treatment for paracentesis. This condition causes severe abdominal pain, swelling, and difficulties in mobility, making it a daily struggle for him. We have been advised that an immediate liver transplant is necessary, which would cost PHP3-5 million or USD100,000 . However, due to our lack of funds, we must consider another surgery to help prolong his life. The estimated cost of this surgery is Php 200,000 - PHP 300,000 if not more, not including medication and aftercare.

Additionally, my father's current hospital bills have already reached an overwhelming amount of Php 450,000 as of today 04-22-2023, after spending just a week in the hospital. Currently, he is still hospitalised and the expenses for his medical treatment are accumulating rapidly and as of today 04-29-2023 the billing statement is at PHP610,000 or $12,000. My Dad's medication and care is currently on hold due to lack of funds. All of his antibiotics and other medications would cost us $300-$500 per day not including his stay. We really don't know what do.

My sister and I have both used up our personal savings to cover our father's medical expenses . While we have our own struggles as new mothers, we remain committed to finding a way to support our father's health needs. We humbly ask for your help and support during this difficult time.
