Help Fundraise For Frannie Initiatives

My name is Franscisca and I lead an individual initiative,I offer free career advising services to the young jobseekers in need of professional career advising and mentor guidance for their career choices and paths.

In 2013,I started working as a freelance recruiter with several organizations assisting with advertising of open seniour positions.Among the submitted resumes were from entry level job applicants who were wondering if their resumes will be accepted for the seniour positions.It gave me a cause that these young jobseekers were in need of a good career mentor to assist and share with them knowledge and advice to enable them to make the right decisions and choices based on their career portfolios.So in 2016, I decided to create a professional link where I could offer free career advising services to these young jobseekers.

My Resume: I have a bachelor degree and five years experience working for both national and international organizations in administration and recruitment. Hence, I gained a lot of experiences as a freelance recruiter and career advisor. Then I decided to use this professional link to allow me to offer career advising services. Since then I have been receiving a lot of requests for career advising from graduates especially recent graduates/young jobseekers who are entry level jobseekers.

The best part about this job is, I have a 100% passion and dedication to help those in need of career advising services. I want to help people make good choices about their career paths. I want them to have a deep understanding of their skills and level of expertise to allow them to advance and reach their goals.

I use a professional social account(Linkedin) to connect and assist them. I review and help to revise graduates’ portfolios (education level, cover letter, resumes, certificates, work history and interests to suggest potentialcareer paths and options.I also offer free trainings but will depend with office space availability and if I can afford it independently.

Problem-Why Free Services, Why Not charge them?

Many young jobseekers/recent graduates cannot afford career advising sessions as most of them have no money after graduating. I am aware of this due to my personal experience when I graduated my first degree. Due to this experience, I never charge for career advising services for recent graduates/young jobseekers.

There is a high rate for unemployment among youth in my country and many recent graduates are looking for a career mentor who can guide them and open up for them to realize their potentials, skills and how they can utilize the attained education, available opportunities to advance their career and lives.

Where will the Donations make a difference? This fundraising campaign should work as an extra help for me to continue to offer these free career advising services to recent graduates and young jobseekers.

• Also some of these young jobseekers/recent graduates can not afford online communication and would prefer a face to face sessions. I will rent a small office premise for face to face career advising sessions.
• Office costs to be covered for a face to face sessions will include furniturefurniture purchase,affordaffordable monthly office bills and other administration costs.
• I would also like to offer free basic job training for young jobseekers/recent graduates i.e phone and email correspondence, machine operating like photocopying, scanning,
• I would also like to send at least few of these graduates for job training courses to expand their career paths. These job training courses are very expensive for a graduate to afford them. Most of them have to wait till they are employed to access these job trainings through in house office trainings and other employee development programs.

I will offer donation rewards for those who will support me with my fundraising campaign. For donations above $185 will receive free resume (cv) reviewing, editing and rearranging services, all done by me. And based on your career portfolio (education level, cover letter, resumes, certificates, work history and interests) I will recommend and suggest potential career paths and options, self employment options as well as career skills boost options.

I use email and Linkedin account for all professional assistance and guidance. You can communicate more with me through a general twitter account which I mostly use to share available openings and opportunities for all jobseekers/volunteers.
