Framed By Grace – A Ministry For the Hungry

Thank you for visiting my fundraiser's site! For those of you who don't know: my mother, Candy, is one of the most selfless, gracious people I have ever met. I've seen her help family, friends, aquaintances, church members, school members, and complete strangers in a mulititude of ways throughout the course of my life. Never once has she taken the credit. She usually responds as such or similarily (direct quote), "God doesn't put anything on our hearts that He doesn't completely accomplish! He is faithful! He gets all the glory for all! I am humbled." Well, her humility certainly humbles me and I strive to be more like her in every way.

WHAT
Candy has recently begun a small ministry that I believe can become even bigger- we all know that through God all things are possible. Thus far, she's been completely funding it from her own pocket along with the tender generosity of her friends and church members and church members' friends and friends of friends--- it's already spreading! She has become "The Frame Lady" at the local hobby stores. Let me explain.

Candy is an inspired painter. She literally paints images that have been prayed about and each is assigned a verse from scripture. She took the beautiful image of a butterfly (she got the inspiration from one she saw in our back yard in Birmingham) that she painted and carted it over to a local food drive where they pass out over 300 grocery baskets per month to needy families and individuals. She originally just wanted to offer to have her painting hung in the dining area with the words of encouragement. The message reads as follows: "God never gives up on you! His love is everlasting! He will never leave you alone! 'See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me." Isaiah 49:16. They were so taken aback and loved the idea, it developed into framing small 5x7 framed prints of the painting to include in each food basket! Word got around and her framed prints are being delivered to one of the largest food drives in Birmingham along with another one and I absolutely KNOW this has the potential to spread to the surrounding areas and maybe even surrounding states! The people who receive these baskets have little to nothing. I can't imagine the blessing so many have already received opening their food packages to discover not only does the food drive care about them, but my mother cares about them, and so does God and every hand that helped Candy frame the pictures or all who donated time or money. Currently, her Bible study gathers after their study to help her frame and friends have been shipping frames and a few have even made donations! Everyhing helps!

HOW YOU CAN HELP
I have created this page because I know my mother wouldn't do it. She would fund this ministry herself until her funds run dry, so I'm here to ask that we get this ministry up and running in a big way! Any money donated will be, first of all, GREATLY appriciated and, second of all, used to cover costs of prints and frames for my mother's ministry named "Framed by Grace!"
