Derick is a well known South African figure in Thailand, as he provides many Saffas (and other expats) with all those goodies we miss from home. He is known as Derick the Biltong Man, as he makes biltong, boerewors, hamburger patties, sosaties and much more at this shop in Jomtien, Pattaya. Unfortunately Derick had a stroke late last month, which has left him paralysed down his right side. He has now been discharged from hospital and needs intensive one on one physiotherapy at home to fully recover. He is unable to walk, feed himself and needs 24 hour care. His prognosis for recovery is good if he receives the necessary treatment. Any donations, small or large will be appreciated.
