Hello everyone. Last March 31, 2019 I bought a puppy to keep me company and help me with my depression. He's a Shih Tzu x Terrier. I fell in love with him instantly and named him Choco Malk because he was white with brown markings on his head. At that time we didn't know that he was sick and that he wasn't actually vaccinated and dewormed.

Choco Malk (or Malk for short) kept cuddling with me on the way home. Once we arrived and settled him in our house he was still pretty active. He peed and pooped immediately though his poop was soft/watery. After that it looked like he was really tired. We tried feeding him some dog food because the seller told us he didn't eat in the morning. He wouldn't eat at all. I waited for a few hours to try and feed him again but he still won't eat. I decided to ask my parents to bring him to the vet just to make sure he wasn't sick. As we were preparing to leave, Malk vomited. This made me even more worried.

When we got to the vet, they explained to us that the vaccine sticker showed and given to us was fake. Malk took a test and was diagnosed with Parvo.

"Canine parvovirus (CPV, colloquially parvo) is a contagious virus mainly affecting dogs. CPV2 is highly contagious and is spread from dog to dog by direct or indirect contact with their feces. Vaccines can prevent this infection, but mortality can reach 91% in untreated cases. Treatment often involves veterinary hospitalization. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss and lack of appetite (anorexia). The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of fetuses and very young puppies, often leading to death." he virus manifests itself in two different forms. The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of fetuses and very young puppies, often leading to death."

Right now he is confined in a vet clinic and being treated. They asked me why I didn't immediately give him back to the seller. To be honest, I'd rather have Malk stay with me so he's in better care. I don't want him to die...

I hate to admit it but right now our family is not in a good financial state but we really want Choco Malk to survive. Please help us fund his treatment if you can.

Here's a breakdown of our expenses for Malk's treatment and his medical record (as of April 2, 2019):

The money that will be given to us will be used to pay for his confinement and medicine (during and post-confinement).

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you can spread the word about this fundraiser and help in Malk's recovery.

NOTE: I'm also currently offering emergency art commissions to fund Malk's treatment. If you're more interested in that, then please click here.

Again, thank you so much!
