SEA Games 2019 Campaign

Why Archery? is a question i keep getting asked. I personally believe that target sports, i.e. Shooting, Archery, Darts. is a sport where anyone can excel in, and age, sex and genetic makeup does not afford anyone a distinct advantage or disadvantage. A young archer can beat a professional archer in a competition as it all boils down to the mental toughness that can be brought forth at that point in time.

I am Alan, a current National Athlete and a Veteran of the SEA and Asian Games.

At the 29th SEAGames in KL, we brought home the 1st Archery (Compound Category) SEAGames medal.

Last year at the 18th Asian Games, we narrowly missed out the 1st Archery Asian Games medal when we lost to Iran in the Bronze Medal match.

At the end of the year, the 30th SEAGames will be held in the Philippines and our target is to bring home 2 medals for Singapore.

But the road to the SEAGames requires support and substantial funding. I am seeking benefactors who can accompany me on my journey to bring home Archery medals for Singapore. Before the SEAGames, it is imperative that athletes participate in as many competitions as possible to acclimatise to competition pressure as well as to benchmark our performance.

I will need your help in order to pay for replacement/maintenance of equipment, competition fees, accommodation and travel to participate in competitions on my journey towards the Archery Gold medal in the 30th SEAGames.
