Bacolod Aspin Rescue Kennel (B.A.R.K.)

B.A.R.K. is asking for your help so that we can continue to rescue abandoned and stray dogs and cats being kept in the city pound and will soon be SHOT in the head with a caliber .22 or a gun to avoid over-crowding. There are countless dogs and cats left to die because nobody cares to claim or rescue them in the city pound. Others are ill enough that they just left to die before their time comes to face death through free bullets which is the acceptable method for the euthanasia of dogs and cats. Our group is in dire NEED of fund because funding comes primarily from the pockets of our founder Theresa Antaran Japsay. The rescued dogs and cats are kept in her small residential property where neighbors always complain because her house is in a subdivision. The group is already drowning in hospital bills, medical costs, supplies, and foods for the rescues. This fundraising will help us in constructing additional kennels, or rental of a property to be used as shelter, and for the primary needs of the dogs and cats inside Theresa’s property. A part of the fund will be used to purchase a second-hand motorcycle with a sidecar to be used as the group’s vehicle when rescuing dogs. Please donate so that B.A.R.K. will always be there rescuing the mistreated, saving the injured, and loving the abandoned.

Theresa Antaran Japsay and friends have been helping dogs and cats in need for many years. A simple rescue of an abandoned sick dog in 2014 started a legacy and built a group called AspinHelper's which was composed of volunteer animal advocates. Many plans and dreams had not been materialized due to unavailability of resources; many dogs and cats had been shot in the head with a gun inside the city pound because the group cannot provide shelter for them; the group cannot sustain the medical expenses as well as the costs of foods and supplies and we cannot rely only to Theresa’s finances because at her age of 63 and separated, she also needs financial support for her living. The group has already rescued more than 100 dogs from the city pound. The adoption fees are shouldered by one of the group’s admin.

Please HELP and support Bacolod Aspin Rescue Kennel! Most of the time Theresa has to spend her own personal money to make sure that all the rescued dogs and cats are all well taken care of. If only B.A.R.K. has a shelter and a used motorcycle with sidecar for transportation, there are a lot of things that we can do to all abandoned dogs.

Your kindness and compassion with surely SAVE rescue dogs lives. “Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.”
