Help fix Brendan’s Orphanage

The above cute photo is actually of me many years ago at my orphanage cottage in Bago Bantay in Manila (in the Philippines). I lived there for two years before I came to Australia.

As you can see I have changed (and perhaps even improved?) just a little bit since then, however the cottage has sadly deteriorated.

In fact the air-conditioning unit doesn't work and the windows are broken. So sadly the children's bedroom gets extremely hot in summer and the ruthless mosquitoes can just swarm in - which is really bad news for the kids!

That's the reason for the fundraising - so we can together do something practical to help these precious children.

This photo is the actual window that I can clearly remember sleeping under! True! As you can see it requires urgent repair and new curtains are needed too.

The purple cottage that I grew up in was there for abandoned children, just like me. The cottage is now overcrowded with many needy children. Fixing up the place would not only greatly benefit the children who are there now but it will also help all the children who will live there in future.

I will be going back to the Philippines at the end of November this year (2017) for my work. While I'm there I hope, with your kind help, to provide the children and their carers with much-needed practical improvements for my "home cottage". Would you please help me to help them? This will not only significantly improve their daily lives but will give them hope that there can be a better future for them. I'm actually "living proof" to them that "you can make it". Together we can all make a real difference! Thank you!
