Help me make Healthcare more compassionate and personalized

Hello, I’m Panagiotis – a Health Coach and Functional Nutrition Counselor based in Athens, Greece.

The objective of setting up this page is part of my quest to raise funds for my upcoming Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition in Thessaloniki. All I ask is just 2 minutes of your time, to read this page and see how this is more than just a plea for money, but one to support my on-going mission to improve the way we do healthcare.

Some things about me and my life’s purpose
I have always been a seeker of purpose in life. From a young age, I was interested in integrative and alternative therapies (yoga, tai chi, qi gong, music therapy). I studied music composition and I have worked as a performing artist. But that was not my purpose. Till one day I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition! The perfect combination of counseling, nutrition and integrative health care. The missing piece from today’s healthcare.

After graduating from the institute for integrative nutrition I started working as a health coach and have developed my clientele. My interest and passion grew and since then I have attended lectures and workshops in Buddhist psychology, positive psychology, nutritional therapy, detoxification and functional nutrition. I have a deep desire to expand my knowledge and be of service to many more people in need of guidance and support. I believe that everyone should have the ability to talk about their health in a loving non-judgmental environment so they can go deep in the root of their suffering and truly heal.

Although the fees surrounding this next educational step for me are rather terrifying (surely for the Greek reality), I am determined not to let them dissuade me, so I am reaching out to everyone and anyone for support in helping me meet this challenge.

Here is an estimated breakdown of the costs:
- 4000 euro tuition fees
- 5000 euro living and travelling costs for a year in Thessaloniki

In addition to the demands of the course, I am hoping to continue my health counseling private practice in Athens part time, which incurs additional travel costs.

Why I need your help…
My family and I have been really affected by the Greek economic crisis. But in my heart, I do believe that money should not stop someone from achieving their dreams and passion. So, reluctantly, I’m appealing for the help of my friends that know how much this means to me, and to the goodwill of the general public, in the hope that some will be able to offer support. If I could continue to complete this as a solo mission, I would, but the truth is, I can’t and I wouldn’t be asking for your help unless I really needed it.

My promise to anyone able to donate is that I will dedicate the next years of my life to successfully completing this course and continuing to work within the community making healthcare and nutrition more compassionate and personalized so even more people can achieve becoming their best self. Raising such a large sum of money is going to be a huge challenge, but I am determined not to let the barrier of tuition fees stand in my way. I couldn’t be more passionate about expanding my career in nutrition and integrative therapies and look forward to embarking on this final stage – whatever it takes!
