Spays the Way, Help Us Pay

We could use a little help from people in the online community to help foot the bill of our unofficial and unexpected animal rescue.

Four approximately 18-month-old dogs were recently dropped off in front of the house next door to us (which is abandoned). Within a day they were in front of our gate begging for food. We've been feeding them but that only takes care of a tiny portion of the problem.

So far two have been seen by our vet. He tested them for heartworm, gave them their vaccines and sterilized one of the boys and the girl.

You might ask, if we're going to find them forever homes, why would we bother raising money to spay and neuter them? Because if we give four dogs away without making sure they're healthy and can't make any more babies, we're adding to the problem.

It turns out they're all incredibly sweet. We feed them twice a day and they climb all over us. They play together and give us lots of kisses. It's difficult to believe anyone could dump these sweet dogs out.

We've put two of them up for adoption already and once the other two are sterilized, we'll put them up as well.

Hasta ahora dos han sido vistos por nuestro veterinario. Los probó para la dirofilariosis, les dio sus vacunas y esterilizó a uno de los niños y la niña.

Usted puede preguntar, si vamos a encontrarlos para siempre hogares, ¿por qué nos molestaría recaudar dinero para esterilizar y neutralizar? Porque si damos cuatro perros sin asegurarnos de que están sanos y no podemos hacer más bebés, estamos aumentando el problema.

Resulta que son increíblemente dulces. Los alimentamos dos veces al día y suben por todos nosotros. Ellos juegan juntos y nos dan muchos besos. Es difícil creer que alguien pueda deshacerse de estos perros dulces.

Hemos puesto dos de ellos para la adopción ya y una vez que los otros dos se esterilizan, los pondremos también.
