To improve sickle cell education and promote sickle cell awareness across the globe, My Friend Jen Sickle Cell Education and Awareness CIC needs your assistance.

My Friend Jen is the award winning series of children's books written by specialist speaker on sickle cell Jenica Leah with the aim to promote sickle cell awareness and to give young children with sickle cell the peace of mind she didn't have growing up with the condition. It is also a great tool for creating a better understanding of the blood disorder and educating adults and children about sickle cell.

Jen will be visiting various sickle cell organisations to donate books to be distributed amongst their community.

Any amount from you, big or small, will assist in the amount of books we can give. The more you help to raise = The more books we can donate.

This will be an ongoing funding programme and will be updated with the organisations being visited and how much books have been donated to each.

First Stop: Sickle Cell Association, Banjul Chapter in Gambia: Donation Target of 100 books achieved!

Second Stop: Sickle Cell Aid Foundation, Nigeria: Donation Target of 200 books achieved!

Next Stop: Sickle Cell Unit in Kingston Jamaica: Donation Target 200 Books (100 of each book)
