Light up Sandie’s Life

Cancer is one of the most frightening diseases to face in our current time. Having it once can be devastating and many are not fortunate enough to survive. Imagine having a life threatening disease not for the second or even third time but for a FOURTH time.

Sandie, my mom, is facing her fourth of such encounters and she needs your help.

$2000 will cover her most important medications. At the moment there are days where there is not medication and the pain she endures during those days is terrible.

HER HISTORY WITH THE DISEASE

At age 20 she narrowly escaped Hodgkin’s disease (Cancer of the lymphatic system), at age 37 Liver Disease became a result of the radiation therapy she underwent at age 20. At age 47 her body was overcome yet again by Leukaemia, by which time she was unable to have any Chemo or radiation as her body had become too weak to protect her against the side effects. Sandie is currently fighting stage 3 Breast Cancer and is unable once again to get physician treatment.

During her battle with Leukaemia, Sandie was able to improve and beat the disease using only natural medicines. This is currently her only source of relief from pain and the medication is definitely assisting in shrinking the tumour. At the time of discovering the cancer she had tumours in both breasts but through the use of Seven Point Five ( www.sevenpointfive.com) medication the tumour in her left breast disappeared completely. Her right breast tumour has not been responding to her current doses of medication as there have been no funds to maintain the required amount. Sandie has been unable to work since Sept 2013 as moving her right arm had become painful. Simple tasks like washing a dish, sweeping her room, cooking a meal and even ironing an item of clothing has become very difficult for her.

The reason for the campaign is to reach out to the world to share her story ( www.therisingsunset.co.za/autobiography/ ) and to also appeal to those who are willing and able to assist financially in ensuring she maintains the correct medication doses she requires to continue shrinking the tumour. The last few months her medication supplies have dropped drastically and we as a family have not been able to keep up with her needs.
