In 2015 ARCA was honored that nine mayors from the Albuquerque GMA participated in the Annual Bowl-a-thon. $1,000 was raised by the Mayors' First Strike Team in honor of the first strike made by one of the nine teams. A total of $11,000 was raised during the mayors' bowling competition segment where they teamed with ARCA clients to celebrate the community of people who support this worthy organization.
I have agreed to head the Mayors' First Strike Team fundraising effort for the 2016 Bowl-a-thon. My goal is to double last year's total, so I will match all of the donations by my friends, family and colleagues up to $1000 to ensure that we reach that amount for ARCA.

Update posted by David Sahd at 03:00 amThe first mayor to get a strike wins the First Strike Bowling Pin award that is designed and painted by ARCA clients.Each mayor will receive a thank you letter from the First Strike Team with names of the donors and wishing them well in next year’s competition.
